[History] Hideki OKA received his B.S. degree and M.S. degree from Department of Basic Science, the University of Tokyo, in 1975 and 1977 respectively. He entered Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. and was engaged in semiconductor device modeling and device/process simulation. In 1990, he moved CRAY Japan and Nihon Silicon Graphics and took jobs of HPC application support and development and Massive Parallel Machine promotion. He returned Fujitsu Laboratories in 2000 and managed next generation semiconductor technology development team. From 2008, he stationed in Osaka University from Fujitsu BioIT Business Development UNIT. He took up the current position as specially appointed professor at the Center for Advanced Medical Engineering and Informatics (MEI Center) in Osaka University in 2010.

In July 2006, he became a lecturer at Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Osaka University Dental Hospital. Since March 2008, he has been a specially appointed associate professor at the Center for Advanced Medical Engineering and Informatics (MEI Center), Osaka University.

His current research work is focusing on a numerical simulat ion method adapted to the fricative voice and its clinic al applications. He was awarded HPC Analytics Challenge Finalist in 2006. [History] Rachid Ait Haddou received his BS degree (1991) in Applied Mathematics from Mohammed V University, Rabat, Morocco. He received his M.S and Ph.D. degree (1996) in Applied Mathematics from Joseph Fourier University at the Laboratory of Modeling and Scientific Computing, Grenoble, France. In 1998, he moved to Calgary University as a postdoctoral fellow and then as a researcher at the Faculty of Kinesiology, Calgary, Canada. In March 2008, he joined the Medical Engineering and Informatics Center as a specially appointed lecturer.

Also, he was Ph.D student at the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Osaka University from 2005 to 2008. His concern of research is Grid portal and Data Grid middleware for life science researches. From April, 2008, he took up the current position at MEI Center.
